Adding Recipes to MakeIt! Ingame



For purpose of our demonstration, we will be adding Fried Cinnamon Dough to the Recipe List.

First, start Decal with MakeIt! running. Log into Asheron's Call with your cook. The Recipe is Frying Pan on Cinnamon Dough. Since Cinnamon Dough does not exist in the recipe file, you must first add it.
  1. Purchase Flour, Water, Cinnamon ( find in Al-Jalima, Baishi, or Plateau Village) Have or purchase Frying Pan.
  2. Open the MakeIt! HUD
  3. Click on the Recipe tab along the top of the MakeIt! HUD
  4. In the Makeit! HUD, Recipe tab, use the top pulldown Menu to select the category for this recipe. Alternatively, type in a new Category name (My Personal Recipes) and click the New button to the left.
  5. Make dough. (Use Flour on Water)
  6. In your inventory, select the Dough.
  7. In the MakeIt! HUD, click Use. The word "Dough" should fill the field.
  8. In your pack, select Jar of Cinnamon.
  9. In the MakeIt! click the On button. The word "Cinnamon" should fill the field.
  10. In the MakeIt! HUD, click Test. Your character will make Cinnamon Dough. The words "Cinnamon Dough" should fill the Test field.
  11. In the MakeIt! HUD, click Add Recipe to XML. :mi:Recipe [Cinnamon Dough] added to category [My Personal Recipes]should appear in your chat screen.
To add Fried Cinnamon Dough to the Recipe list:
  1. In your pack, select Frying Pan.
  2. In the MakeIt! HUD, select Use.
  3. In your pack, select Cinnamon Dough.
  4. In the MakeIt! HUD, select On.
  5. In the MakeIt! HUD, click Test. Your character will make Fried Cinnamon Dough.
  6. In the MakeIt! HUD, click Add Recipe to XML. :mi:Recipe [Fried Cinnamon Dough] added to category [My Personal Recipes]will appear on your chat screen.
In order to correctly save changes, exit Asheron's Call normally (normal log off)
